Around Latin America

brazilreach.com is now live

We have launched a dedicated English-language resource on Brazil’s chemical registration framework under Law 15.022/2024.

This site covers the framework for companies with exposure to the Brazilian chemical market — including foreign manufacturers whose substances enter Brazil through importers or distributors.

What the site covers:

  • Who holds registration obligations under the law and why foreign manufacturers are affected
  • The registration threshold and how it applies to substances, mixtures, and polymers
  • Key exemptions under Article 3 of the law
  • The Only Representative mechanism for centralizing registration across a supply chain
  • The implementation timeline through the expected close of the initial registration window
  • What companies should be doing now to prepare

The content has been developed based on Law 15.022/2024 and the draft implementing regulation. It will be updated as the framework develops through the implementing regulation and future official guides.

When the implementing regulation is published, a full plain English guide will be available on the site (hopefuly) the same day.

The regulation itself is not the hard part. The challenge is understanding how it applies across products, supply chains, and internal responsibilities.

The implementing regulation is expected any time.
